You’ve worked hard to write your content, and I’d love to collaborate with you to meet your goals.

My role as an editor is to honor your work, preserve your style, and enhance your text for the reader.

I am a multidisciplinary professional with over twenty years of experience. I have worked in philanthropy as a Director of Operations & Finance, in nonprofits as a Social Enterprise Director, and in resource management as an Environmental Planner.

I bring a keen attention to detail, a deep curiosity across many fields of interest, and an understanding that each project has a unique set of goals.

I hold a Certificate in Copyediting from the University of California San Diego, an MA in Geography from Appalachian State University, and a BS in Geology from James Madison University. I am a member of the Editorial Freelance Association (EFA) and ACES: The Society for Editing.

In addition to editing, I am a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher with more than a decade of teaching experience. I am a voracious reader, and I like to spend my time practicing yoga, gardening, cooking, mountain biking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Lindsay Majer, a forty-something white woman with brown hair and eyeglasses, sits in front of a computer that rests on top of a wooden table. Lindsay glances to the left smiling at the viewer.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with Lindsay in several different capacities, including delivering educational workshops, co-presenting at conferences, and writing proposals and technical reports. She has been a thought partner on program design and has edited critical pieces of communication for my work with Just-Trails. Her outstanding commitment to excellence, creative thinking, and warmth in delivery make her a valuable companion in productive work projects and a joy to work with.
